Student Leadership Team
The more students serve in the church, the more likely they are to keep their faith. Because of this, we encourage PLC students in grades 6-12 to serve in many different ministry areas.  The goal for the Student Leadership Team is to equip students with an active and confident faith so that they can SERVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS and TAKE RISKS.

Below is the process for students to join the Student Leadership Team at PLC:

1. APPLY
All students must fill out an online Student Leadership Team application form each year they would like to serve.
Apply for SLT here >>>

2. INTERVIEW
After students apply, each is asked to meet one-on-one with a PLC Ministry Director (either the Youth Director or Children’s Director or both) to discuss some goals, expectations, and to get a good idea of what area of ministry would be the best fit.

3. TRAIN

After students apply, interview and are placed in an area that best suits them and the church, it is mandatory that they attend SLT Leader Training.  This year we are having an SLT Leader Retreat at PLC on Wednesday, August 14th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at PLC in the DEC. This is where students will learn what it means to be a leader, how to lead successfully and they’ll even get an opportunity to put their skills into practice.  Lunch will be provided.

Also, throughout the year, Student leaders are also asked to attend “Team Times” which are designed to get feedback, lift up praises, share prayer requests, and help sharpen leadership skills and areas of growth.
