At Prairie Lutheran Church we partner with families to equip and empower them to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. Our goal is to EQUIP everyone with an active and confident faith. Children's Ministry at PLC serves families with children ages 0 through 6th grade. We believe that two influences are greater than one, so we work to partner with parents to help THEM make Christ known to their children.

0-3 years old, Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
Childcare is available in our nursery on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights for children birth through age 3, and older if needed. We provide two trained nursery attendants to care for and play with the kids. Parents are also welcome to stay in the nursery with the children, or drop off their children and be notified if the need (crying, diaper change, etc.) arises.

During worship sermon, 9 & 11am, Sundays
J.A.M. serves as an opportunity for children (3 yrs to 1st grade) to opt out of the regular church sermon and instead join a leader for children’s activities, games and a Bible story. It's a great way for kids to hear God's Word in an age-appropriate way and also a time for them to ask questions, have fun, and get their wiggles out.  Parents are welcome to     join JAM at anytime and if you are interested in helping with JAM, please fill out a Volunteer Application here >>>.

Ages 2 + Parent at 10:00am, Sundays
During Wiggle & Worship, toddlers and parents will have free play and then come together for circle time, songs, and a 2-minute Bible Story -- all with mom or dad right beside them. We want sweet 2 year olds to become familiar with Jesus, friends their age, and the church. We also want families to connect to one another weekly.

Preschool Sunday School
ages 3-5, Meets in the Overlook Room

Each week we will focus on a Bible story from The Beginner's Bible, which the children are encouraged to bring each week, and do games, songs & activities that go along with the story. Our desire is that each child learn and grow up believing: "God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my forever friend."

Elementary Sunday School
ages Kindergarten – 4th grade, Great Hall

The elementary-aged children use a curriculum designed to provoke discovery and shape identity through planting truths about WISDOM, FAITH, & FRIENDSHIP. The overall goal is to connect the kids with God, with each other, and to plant these truths into their heart:
"I can make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, I should treat others the way I want to be treated."

Each month, we focus on a theme (responsibility, creativity) and scripture verse that they can learn from and apply and ultimately grow in their relationship with God and with others. For more information about 252 Basics, click here >>>

5th & 6th Grade
When you’re in 5th or 6th grader, you are not a little kid, yet you’re not quite a teenager. You’re somewhere in the middle. And when two lines intersect, it’s
called… a PO!NT.
So, our goal with the 5th & 6th grade students at PLC is to empower the students by providing them with opportunities for fellowship, learning, and serving.  We want the kids to get to know their peers, help them grow in their understanding of who God is and who they are in Christ, AND we want to mobilize them to serve others, so that they can see what the church is really all about.
Each year, the 5th & 6th graders have a special Pancakes & Praise once per month, and they also lead the younger kids in the telling of Jesus’ birth and resurrection.

K - 4th Grade, 7:00-8:00pm, Wednesdays (Sept. 13, 2017 - Feb. 17, 2018)
CLUB is like Sunday School, but even MORE fun and on Wednesdays! CLUB is aimed at providing fellowship, encouraging friendships, and learning God’s Word. At CLUB, the kids hear a Bible Story and then play games and do activities to help them apply what they’ve learned. This is a casual gathering for kids to come with their friends and grow and learn in a fun, God-honoring way. To register your k - 4th grader for CLUB, click here >>>

CLUB 56 is our Wednesday night program specifically for 5th & 6th graders.  The goal is to provide the students with opportunities for fellowship with their peers, learning about God’s Word and how they can apply it to their lives, and also to mobilize and empower them to serve others.  Along with a Bible story and conversation, the CLUB 56 students will help out with different serving opportunities both inside and outside the church.

Once per month, the CLUB kids will play games and do a service project in lieu of a regular lesson. This is a great opportunity for kids to not just learn and hear, but DO!

Day Camp is a 4-day camp held at Prairie Lutheran. It's the day-version of overnight camp. Camp counselors from Inspiration Point come to Prairie Lutheran and put on an amazing week of camp that includes everything the kids would do away at camp, but here at home. They learn Bible stories, sing camp songs, do crafts, play games, and more! Kids are asked to bring their Bibles, their friends, and a lunch to Day Camp each day.
At the end of the week, friends and family are asked to attend a closing ceremony to recap all of the songs and stories and memory versus they learned over the week. It's one super fun, super powerful week!

Prairie Lutheran Church proudly partners with Inspiration Point Christian Camp, which is located in Clitherall,  MN, 2.5 hours away from Eden Prairie. Each summer PLC kids go to camp. Campers experience the benefits of a camp through: fun, friendship, faith, and future. Their mission is to create an environment for God to meet each kids’ needs, and they do it in beautiful and wonderful ways.
